The environment is everything around us—the clear sky, the soil under our feet, the water we drink, and all living plants and animals. Lately, our environment is changing. You might notice that some days are much hotter than they used to be, or that the rain does not come at the expected times. When people cut down too many trees or leave plastic trash in fields, the earth gets tired and sick. The soil becomes dry and dusty, and our beautiful wildlife loses its home.

The Bible reminds us that when we do not take care of the land, the earth itself feels the pain:

“How long will the land lie parched and the grass of every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished.” — Jeremiah 12:4
